Agile programming is a software development methodology that emphasizes flexibility, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. Agile methods are iterative and incremental, with a focus on rapid prototyping and continuous improvement.

Agile teams work in sprints, delivering small, usable portions of the software at regular intervals. The Agile manifesto, written in 2001, outlines the core values and principles of Agile development.

  • Scrum, is a framework for managing and completing complex projects
  • Extreme Programming (XP), is a set of practices for software development that emphasizes communication, simplicity, and feedback
  • Kanban, a methodology for managing and visualizing workflows
  • Lean Software Development is a methodology that incorporates principles from Lean Manufacturing to improve software development processes
  • Crystal is a family of Agile methodologies that focus on people, communication, and flexibility
