Victor Sperandeo, also known as “Trader Vic”, is a well-known trader, author, and financial commentator. He was born in 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, and began his trading career in the early 1970s as a market maker on the American Stock Exchange.

Sperandeo quickly became known for his exceptional trading skills, particularly in the futures and options markets. He became a partner in the trading firm “Raphaelson & Sperandeo” and later founded his own firm, “Alpha Financial Technologies.”

Sperandeo’s trading style is based on a combination of technical and fundamental analysis, with an emphasis on risk management. He is known for his “2B” and “3B” reversal patterns, which he believes can identify market tops and bottoms.

  • The “2B” pattern is a reversal pattern that can identify a potential market top or bottom. The pattern is formed when prices make a new high or low, but then quickly reverse direction and move back through the previous high or low. The pattern is considered confirmed when prices break through the previous high or low and continue in the opposite direction.
